What this app holds, and what it does not.

This page is the product, stated plainly. It is not a cookie banner. This website sets no cookies and loads no analytics.

On your phone

Messages, files, and voice notes live on the device, encrypted. After you first read a message it is kept for one hour, then the key is deleted. Burn-after-read throws the key away sooner. A copy you explicitly save to Photos or Files is then outside the app.

On the server

The relay never stores conversation history. It forwards ciphertext, holds short-lived invite commitments, public keys, and a membership list of opaque ids for groups. It does not have names, message bodies, or a searchable directory of people.

kyphra.app is a static page. It is not the messenger. Opening it does not create an account.
